Manon Bower standing beneath apple blossom in Brighton

Hey! I'm Manon, a textile artist based in Brighton specialising in hand embroidery. I've been sewing since I was young, first learning alongside my mum and later studying textiles at Chelsea College of Arts.

Each piece is made by hand, meaning no two stitches are the same. These small variations are part of what makes each piece special and unique, a true reflection of the handmade process.

I work with vintage and second-hand materials, threads and fabrics gathered over the years. I believe in making use of what already exists to create something personal and meaningful.

Vintage linens and cottons I've gathered, each one waiting for a design. Every piece is one of one, quote its number when you enquire.

As these are vintage pieces, please expect gentle signs of age here and there, like small marks or fading. These are usually easy to work a design around and aren't very noticeable once stitched.

A rough size guide: small is around handkerchief-sized, medium is roughly placemat-sized, and large is closer to a table runner or tray cloth.

A handmade piece can take one to three weeks, roughly, depending on size. It's made slowly by hand, no two stitches are the same. Choosing this over something ready-made means choosing a little more care and thought behind what you receive.

good to know

I'm based in the UK and currently only accept orders shipping to the UK and Ireland.

Postage isn't included in the price shown by the calculator, it's an added extra. I send everything with Royal Mail, and I'll confirm the postage cost along with your final price by email.

Once we've agreed on your design, I'll ask for a deposit of half the total cost before I start stitching. The remaining half is due once your piece is finished and ready to post, I won't send it until this is settled.

Once work has started, your deposit isn't refundable. By that point I've already put in the time getting your design right and begun stitching, which is time and materials I can't get back. Before work starts, please just get in touch and we can talk it through.

Every piece is handcrafted with love and close attention to detail. Choosing handmade means choosing something made slowly, by myself, just for you, rather than something mass-produced. Each step of the process is a conversation between us, so the piece you receive feels entirely yours.
